Shooting with Viktoriia – 03.10.2024 – Palmengarten Frankfurt

The 3rd of October is a national holiday in Germany and I used that day to make a shooting with Viktoriia, the singer of the band Mighty Ignition, the Palmengarten in Frankfurt. I met her through the Trebur Open Air, where I was to take photos for the Festival itself. We decided to go to the Palmengarten and get inspiration on site for the photos we would take and not decide before hand what to do. Out of the many photos which we took, you can see 55 on this page. At first some photos that we took in the different buildings that exist at the Palmengarten. We started at the Haus Rosenbrunn and finished in the Palmenhaus. We went to the Tropicarium, but part of the buildings had such a high humidity, and that it was cold on the outside, I was unable to take photos there. The more sensual photos where made in a special exhibition room of the Palmenhaus.

While switching between the different buildings, we also took the opportunity to take photos on the outside at the different locations. At one point, Viktoriia asks another visitor if she can help us take some photos where you can only see the person’s hands holding Viktoriia’s hair. We also tried to get the beautiful flowers involved. which gave me the idea to repeat this at the Park Rosenhöhe in Darmstadt.

The shooting and wandering around the Palmengarten lasted three and a half hours, was a lot of fun and practically cried out for a repeat. And I am very grateful that Viktoriia gave me her trust and time for this shooting.
